Cette loi incitait \u00e0 la vengeance individuelle, \u00e0 condition que la peine soit identique au crime commis. Ainsi, si un homme se faisait couper une main, la loi du Talion l&#8217;autorisait \u00e0 en faire de m\u00eame sur son ennemi.
