Freediving is symbolized by an action that might seem superhuman: holding your breath and stopping. But how does one achieve this? Is it enough to stop breathing, or is it the result of physical and psychological preparation? This film follows the diver's sometimes chaotic, but above all sensory, journey before taking his last breath.

Gods & Beasts - the film

In September 2011, Rémi Chapeaublanc goes on a motorcycle trip to Mongolia in order to shoot the photographic series "Gods & Beasts". If an ambiguous hierarchy exists between men and animals, this series of portraits produced outdoors, in the original background of each, emancipated them from any social order.

In June 2012, Rémi goes back to Mongolia to give a print to every model from the series, and shoots a documentary about those Mongol families. It's now not only about people alone with theirs feelings, but more a full relational and cultural link which puts everyone in his social and familial role.
