The books I finally took with me

Following my call for helpIn the interest of my literary culture, here are the books I've chosen to take with me.

The books I took with me

By the way, I'd like to apologize in advance to all those who offered me books. Due to lack of space, but above all weight, I was obliged to choose to take only 3 books, 1 guide and 1 visual dictionary. All the books you gave me are at home, just waiting for my return. Who knows, maybe I'll have acquired a taste for reading?

For the poor beginner that I am, I've made some "simple" choices that probably won't appeal to everyone. But, from what I've been told, they're a safe bet for beginners. Do you validate?

  1. L'usage du monde... very good, although I wouldn't have taken it on a trip. I think it's more a book to make you want to leave than a book to travel with. And as for simplicity, I've often pulled out the dictionary; the vocabulary is quite select ;-)

    Delerm's validation too!

  2. Bah for a trip, I validate the travel guide.
For a trip to countries where you don't necessarily speak the language, I validate the visual dictionary.
When a book is called "The First Sip of Beer", I can't help but agree.
The other two I haven't read, but these authors are normally good values, so I think I can validate them!

  3. Hehe, I'm glad you followed one of my recommendations, namely Philippe Delerm's book! And I see that others agree with your choice!

Sometimes, just for fun, I re-read a short story from the book. It only takes a few minutes, but it's good for you and makes you feel better!

I wish you all the best in your travels, which I follow with passion!
